Inspired Professionals Guild Meets Again
Date: Monday, 5/17/2010 6pm-8pm
We are back, and we are back on Monday night. Sorry for the confusion in April. In June, we're going back to first Monday.
In May, the emphasis will be on making connections and career strategy. To that end, please bring at least one friend. We will also be doing a career management activity. For those of you who want to get the most out of this session, please come prepared with your ideal next career move(s) and potential future employers.
About the Inspired Professionals Guild
The Inspired Professionals Guild is a new kind of civic group aimed at creating inspired workplacesthrough better leadership.
We invite you, as a servant- or ecological- leader in your organizations, to contribute to the conversation and action. You’ll be asked to explore ways to deepen your learning and commitment about creating insipired workplaces. You’ll be asked for your ideas about how to effect large-scale cultural change. And, you may be challenged to try something new.
You’ll also get to connect with like-minded professionals in a casual setting. There will be people attending who have immediate opportunities and some who can open doors for you later. There will be chances to learn, connect, mentor and be mentored. You will leave energized and inspired.
The innaugural events are complimentary and by invitation only. You are welcome to invite guests as long as they meet these 2 criteria for membership:
1) Willing to complete two surveys about how well this group is meeting its and your goals and objectives
2) Must be a giver.

More about the Inspired Professionals Guild
Here’s the deal… most of us want
to work in inspired workplaces in which people feel connected and do their best
work, and, many are clinging to our paychecks and miserable jobs for dear life
without a viable Plan B should “things” not work out. We want to earn a decent living without getting
the life sucked out of us in the process, and most of us are waiting for
someone else to “fix it” or “change it.” We’ve become victims of
circumstance instead of creators.
Folks, if you’re waiting for
someone else to do the job, you are in for a long, frustrating time. It's time to take charge of your environment and experience, build your tribe and take action.
The Inspired Professionals Guild
is to create the possibility of a more connected, more profitable future
through creating great places to work… places where professionals and
business owners can connect their vision and values with their passion and
purpose.
The most powerful way to
accomplish this is through changing the public conversation away from a
past-based focus about what isn’t working and towards how we act as the owners
and co-creators of our environments.
It’s OK to say no. This may
not be the community you choose, and I respect that. However, if you’re
looking to forge stronger business relationships, connect with opportunities,
improve yourself and improve your world, join us. And, invite others whom
you think would be interested in collaborating to create a better future. (We
trust your judgment!).
Let’s get off the sidelines and play on a winning team.
